Friend to Friend is registered with the IRS as a 501(c) 3, a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization. When you send a gift to help us, you’ll feel doubly good since you are doing something great and your donation is tax deductible! Our Board and staff are creative and hardworking
volunteers who use your donations to make sure no neighbor in East Granby goes hungry when income is suddenly reduced or lost.
What We Do
Friend to Friend operates a Food Pantry out of the East Granby Congregational Church. Participants of the pantry are registered through Social Services and pick up food once weekly to supplement their grocery needs on Fridays, 8:30-11:00am. Food is obtained from food drives, local business and civic organizations, our partnership with Foodshare, cash donations, proceeds from the Friend to Friend Thrift Shop and fundraisers including Empty Bowls in October with Expressions Pottery Workshop,.

High School Community Service Volunteer Hours
A great way for your high school student to earn community service hours by volunteering at Friend to Friend. E-mail a request for an application to [email protected].

- Monetary Donations are most appreciated.
- Non-Perishable Food Donations can be dropped off at the East Granby Senior/Community Center, the East Granby Public Library or the East Granby Congregational Church. You can also shop and drop at Geissler's Supermarket in Granby, CT. If you need advice on what to give please note our ”Items Needed” signs posted in East Granby Center and at the Senior/Community Center.
- Friend To Friend Thrift Shop takes seasonal donations of clothing and small household items. If you don’t have items to donate please browse our shop as your purchase is another way of helping.
